Abstract:

Based on the problem of slow convergence of the line-of-sight angular rate during the initial turning phase in over-the-shoulder launch of air-to-ground missiles, a virtual target guidance method capable of adapting to aerodynamic capabilities is proposed. A minimum turning radius model is established by considering the constraints of the missile's aerodynamic and propulsion characteristics. The launch conditions are adapted by autonomously adjusting the virtual target, enabling forward hemisphere engagement. A virtual proportional navigation method with sideslip constraints is employed to dynamically optimize the overload command, supplemented by a "time-angle" dual-threshold for guidance switching. Six-degree-of-freedom simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves rapid turning with the minimum radius under different launch off-boresight angles, fully utilizes the sideslip capability, significantly enhances the engagement timeliness of over-the-shoulder launch, and accommodates the requirements of large off-boresight and multi-condition over-the-shoulder launches.
