Integrated air and missile defense of the U.S. military in Multi-Domain Operations

Abstract:

In order to further improve air defense and missile defense capabilities and deal with threats from competitive countries, the US military proposes the concept of integrated air and missile defense(IAMD)based on Multi-Domain Operation(MDO). Based on the concept of American air and missile defense(AMD),the development status, shortcomings and main threats of American AMD are summarized and analyzed, the design ideas and objectives of American integrated air and missile defense system in Multi Domain Operations are described, and the specific measures taken by American military to deal with the shortcomings of IAMD are analyzed in detail. The enlightenment of the US military's development of integrated air and missile defense is finally summarized, which has a certain reference value for the construction of domestic air and space defense system.
